Scope and Contents
             Final report, dated 1890 Feb. 1, of the committee appointed by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia to review and revise the 1880 edition of the Pharmacopoeia of the United States. The report is in the hand of the committee’s chairman, W. S. W. Ruschenberger, and recommends that quantities of ingredients be stated "in parts by weight", the langauge of the pharmacopoeia be simple, straightforward, and comprehensible, and metric measurements and the centigrade scale be avoided.
