The collection contains four daybooks, 1824-1873 (Bulk 1837-1852), and two account books, 1826-1850, documenting the medical practice of Jason Howard Ames in Bradford, N.H. and the surrounding area. Items found interleaved in the volumes were removed and placed in folders. The daybooks list the patient and the services rendered and their cost.
