Custodial History

Charles Perry Fisher of the Library of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia received the Abbe Collection of Louis Pasteur Memorabilia from Robert Abbe of Bar Harbor,Maine, on 28 July 1923. Although Abbe intended that William W. Keen formally present the collection to the College for inclusion with other Pasteur material in the Abbe Cabinet"at a meeting during the winter", this was never done. The collection was isolated during a survey of the Historical Collections and processed and catalogued in 1990.
