Overview
Dr. Alfred Stille’s personal correspondence is housed in this collection. The main theme of the letters follows the temperance movement, including a newspaper clipping explaining medicine preparation without the use of alcohol. Items found interleaved in a book (The temperance movement or, The conflict between man and alcohol, by Henry William Blair, 1888, call number Ncc 167) in the Library’s collection. Contains correspondence and clipping from 1887 to 1887. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.
