The collection consists of an account book, 1872-1883, kept by physician William Brower, 1842-1919. Accounts are recorded under the names of individuals, and the volume has a name index. Entries under each account list the services rendered and their cost, who received the service, and any payments made. The bulk of entries list only visit as the service, but more description, such as vaccination, is occasionally provided.

This is a collection of approximately 650 2" x 2" black and white slides. Slides depict objects and illustrations related to the history of medicine, and include portraits and caricatures, medical conditions and treatments, buildings and shops, and instruments and prostheses. Slides were used by Dr. Leaman to illustrate his lectures on medical history given at the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
