The collection contains eight daybooks, 1855-1894, and
one ledger, 1872-1904, documenting the medical practice of Israel
Parsons in Marcellus, New York, and surrounding Onondaga County.

This collection consists of two daybooks, 1835 Feb. 1-1839 Aug.
25, and 1839 Aug. 26-1845 Dec. 31, describing the medical practice
of John A. Hyde in Freeport, Maine. The daybook entries are
chronological and provide the patient's name, a brief description
of the medical treatment, and the charge involved; for a birth,
the sex of the child is also provided. At the end of the entries
for each year, Hyde lists his annual earnings and the number

The collection consists of Myles Synnott's diploma from
Jefferson Medical College, 1831, and financial records, 1834-1866,
from his Glassboro practice. These financial records consist
of a daybook, 1854-1861, with a chronological listing of patients

Overview
Otto Scheller was born in Bohemia/Czechoslovaka/Austria on 29 June 1881, and immigrated to the United States in 1911. On 14 December 1928, he was admitted to Philadelphia State Hospital (locally known as "Byberry") against his wishes. Doctors Irving and Burr diagnosed Scheller as having "true paranoia" after interviewing him and his sister-in-law, with whom he lived; and inspecting the packages of petitions and correspondence, presumably copies of what Scheller had sent to the various courts....
