             Douglas P. Murphy (1893-1971) served as a surgeon in the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) with the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) during World War I. During his military service, Murphy worked in several medical hospitals in France from 1917 until the war’s end in 1918.              Frank Janczak Hartman (1893-1986) was a radium specialist and consultant who also worked as a “radium hound,” searching for pieces lost by area hospitals and industry until his retirement in 1956. Overview
	     This collections contains pages from a scrapbook compiled by J.F. McClendon. The bulk of the material consists of photographs and biographies of notable doctors and scientists, interspersed with advertisements for medicines and other healthcare products. The six folders in this collection are arranged in alphabetical order by last name with the last folder labeled as ‘Men of Science R.H.H.’ The collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.

Scope and Contents
             The first extensive autograph collection of Fellows of the American Surgical Association was donated to the Mutter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia by John B. Roberts in 1903. Roberts had been working on this project for some years. The collection, viewed as an adjunct to a similar photograph collection, was sorted alphabetically and housed in a post binder. Overview
	     This collection consists of two scrapbooks containing informational illustrations and pamphlets about a variety of health topics. Allergy testing and gastrointestinal maladies comprise the bulk of the material. Materials include charts to inform proper caloric intake, color illustrations of various diseases, and charts to help differentiate between diseases with similar symptoms. Not much is known about Joseph Ulman. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.

	     Commemorative scrapbook presented to George Holatzapple on May 22, 1936, at his seventy-fourth birthday party. Contains correspondence, a radio broadcast script, and newspclippings, to commemorate the eariliset administration of oxygen in the treatment of pneumonia, which was performed by Holtzapple in 1885.
