Content Description This small collection consists of 16 manuscript pharmaceutical prescriptions with occasional typescript comments. The cards and the comments were attributed to Battin and Lunger Pharmacists, Philadelphia, by the donor. The physicians who signed the prescriptions include J. Harold Austin, Radcliffe Cheston, J. Clinton Foltz, Alvin R. McCarthy[?], John F. McCloskey, Frank M. Ramsey, Edward G. Rhoads, Fred A. Sutcliff, and Josephus T. Ullom.

The son of Mathias Bush, Dr. Solomon Bush practiced medicine around the time of the Revolutionary War despite not having any formal training.
