	     The William T. Taylor correspondence collection contains three items, including a letter to the Medical Examiner, written in 1852 and concerning the birth of triplets; a bibliography, presumably of his published works; and a statement of defense re James J. Scope and Contents
	     Manuscript of address to Philadelphia County Medical Society on 26 Apr. 1876. Taylor contends
emotional or mental state of a mother can affect unborn child during pregnancy. He cites several
examples, including spina bifida, strabismus, cleft palate, and various wounds, marks, and deformations,
all connected with some prenatal sight or occurrence.
