Scope and Contents

From the Collection: This collection contains material relating to occupational therapy and occupational therapy training, particularly in the Philadelphia area. Series I contains materials from Norristown State Hospital and includes crafting explanations and samples, reports, printed material, and photographic material. Also included in this series is a Red Cross report book for work completed by patients under occupational therapy supervision. Reports in this series are filed in rough chronological order. Series II is material from the Philadelphia School of Occupational Therapy and includes the by-laws, class lists, reports, and student work. Series III includes a membership directory and meeting minutes for the Eastern Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association, as well as a letter from the President of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Series IV, Printed Material, includes articles, manuals, directories, and newsletters for regional occupational therapy organizations. Series V includes subject files, the American Red Cross announcement that it would enroll men and women as occupational therapy aides, fact sheets, and sample forms.
