Scope and Contents note
This is a collection of medical lantern and film slides. Subjects include: gynecology, obstetrics, and sterility; smallpox; eye movements; electrocardiography; World War I amputees; X-rays; patients with various medical conditions; and images related to a histamine study. The collection also includes several glass plate negatives and film negatives on the history of medicine, consisting largely of portraits of physicians and photographs of medical apparatus; stereoscopic cards on dermatology, in color, with stereoscope viewer; Warren Reese slides and lecture on “Anatomy of the Orbit”; Brodsky's Atlas of Oral and Facial Lesions; and slides of illustrations by Robert Allen Thom of "Great Moments in Medicine”. Additionally the collection includes miscellaneous slides and negatives taken by James A. Lehman, consisting of slides of text and illustrations for lectures, photographs of medical and surgical procedures, pictures of patients, and a small number of family photographs.
