Biographical / Historical
Joseph William Gardam, New Jersey internist and dermatologist, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1895. He died in the 1980s. Gardam received his M.D. from the New York Homeopathic Medical College in 1916. He practiced medicine in Newark, N.J., was Attending Physician to St. Barnabas Hospital and the Homeopathic Hospital in East Orange, Associate Physician at the Newark City Hospital, and Director of the Newark Health Department's Communicable Disease Division.
