Biographical / Historical
Benjamin L. Ryder, Chambersburg, Pa. physician, horticulturist, and inventor, graduated from the Hygeia Therapeutic Institute in New York in 1870. He first practiced in Philadelphia, then removed to Chambersburg. Ryder married Anna Frick of Washington Co., Md.
