Overview
The above committee, consisting of James Tyson, Solomon Solis-Cohen and chairman Hobart A. Hare, was appointed on 3 March 1897 to investigate the site proposed for the new Municipal Hospital. The committee reported that the lot, located at the foot of Erie Avenue, was entirely unsuitable due to the poor condition of its soil and its proximity to the Delaware River and surrounding industries. The committee submitted its final report to the Fellows of the College of Physicians on 7 April 1897.

Overview
This committee consisted of I. Minis Hayes, Arthur Van Harlingen, and James V. Ingham. The committee, which was appointed on 7 April 1897, was formed in reaction to a tariff bill that threatened to place a tax on books and instruments imported into the country. The committee drafted a letter to the Senate, claiming that the advancement of the objects of the College of Physicians would be severely hindered by such a tariff, The act was never passed, and the committee was discharged on 5 May 1897.
