Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection contains one volume of George O. Caldwell's student notes, 1884-1885, on the surgical lectures of J. Williston Wright in the Medical Department of the University of the City of New York (pp. 1-106), with notes on materia medica (pp. 108-134), and an 1887 hospital formulary of 307 recipes (pp. 135-232), probably used at the Female Lunatic Asylum on Blackwell's Island.
