The collection contains fourteen letters received, 18361848,
by Jeremiah B. Stubbs, primarily from his brother, S. B. Stubbs,
with matriculation and lecture admission tickets, 1826, from
Jefferson Medical College. Several of the letters from S. B. Stubbs and one letter from Samuel
Webster describe the conditions, faculty, medical education,
and student life at Jefferson during the 1830s and early 1840s;

This small collection of five notebooks documents John Wiley's
medical education at Jefferson Medical College, 1835-1837, and
gives some sketchy information about his later professional
life.The heart of the collection consists of one volume of Wiley's
notes (1835-1837) on the lectures of Jefferson faculty, including:

Scope and Contents
This small collection documenting Ludwig Loeb's medical education
in 1890 contains his M.D. diploma from Jefferson Medical College,
a certificate of attendance in an anatomy course at the Philadelphia
School of Anatomy and Surgery, and a certificate of attendance
in a course of practical obstetrics at the Philadelphia Lying
in Charity.

Scope and Contents
This small collection documents the medical education of William
L. Challiss at Jefferson Medical College, 1847-1848. The collection
contains one matriculation card for the 18481849 academic session
and admission cards to the lectures of Franklin Bache, Robley
Dunglison, Robert M. Huston, Charles D. Meigs, John K. Mitchell,
Thomas D. Mutter, and Joseph Pancoast. There is also one card
admitting Challiss to lectures at the Philadelphia School of
Anatomy in 1847.
