Album of photographs, numbered 97-190, with descriptions by S. Suzuki of injury and treatment of Japanese sailors and Russian prisoners of war, 1904-1905; includes initials of sailors and officers and battle and date on which wounds were received. Photographs primarily depict amputations, burns, and gunshot wounds. Includes typed letter signed, 1909 Feb. 19, of James Evelyn Pilcher concerning provenance of album.

The Osler Memorial and Blockley Historical Museum Committee was established in December 1940. The committee was responsible for the daily administration of the Osler Memorial and Blockley Historical Museum of the Philadelphia General Hospital. The committee attended to the maintenance of the museum building, oversaw the care and cataloging of museum pieces, and acknowledged donations to the museum. This photograph album documents the 1925 European tour of the
Society of Clinical Surgery. The Society visited clinics and
surgeons in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, the
Netherlands, and England. Included are photographs of scenic
views, tourist attractions, and members of the Society. Of
special interest, however, are the numerous photographs of clinics,
hospitals, and famous European surgeons. Many of these photographs
